Offered for sale are the 3 tubes as titled and pictured. These particular 3 tubes tests strong and are closely balanced / matched. The tubes’ test results are displayed in the photos (New 5751 Spec 100% = 1,200 Gm). Note: Even though this tube is often considered interchangeable with the 12AX7, the 5751 does have a bit less gain than a 12AX7, so the test results displayed are the actual Amplitrex specs for the 5751. Also, these tubes are labeled Westinghouse and there are no other EIA codes or numbers on them. So far, these boxes are still just a concept and in the prototype stage (3D Printed). Any and constructive feedback on the idea is welcomed and appreciated. Eventually I plan to offer these boxes for sale by. Themselves, but not quite yet. See the photos for physical / cosmetic condition. Notes Regarding Tube Tests. All tubes are tested on an Amplitrex AT-1000 tester in the automatic Fixed Bias Mode (for the most conservative results). Test Results are for a general reference only, and are not a guarantee of performance, nor a guarantee of how they will test on your tester. No real world (audio) performance measurements are taken.

1964 Fender Concert Amp. Electric Guitar / Bass Amplifier Head. Comes with homemade denim cover. It had a badly damaged termite eaten wood cabinet that I felt was too far gone to refurbish, so I kept the amp on the side. Recently (Sept 2024) I took it to my current amp tech and he replaced the filter caps, power cord, lubricated the pots. Powered it for an hour and checked operation. He says it’s now in great shape and mentioned it’s a particularly good sounding amp with balanced power tubes and a perfectly set bias operation. What I decided to do a few years ago was use a leftover Bandmaster amplifier head cabinet for this amp because it fit it perfectly. What I wanted to do was re-create Leo Fender’s prototype piggy back head cabinet that he first began to develop in 1959. In the same year he began developing his new cabinet design for the entire amplifier line by moving the amplifier control panel to the top front of the cabinets for both the combo and piggy-back amplifier designs. The Fender Concert (model # 12) was the very first amplifier he designed with the control panel facing the front. Instead of using aircraft luggage linen (tweed), he used a rubber infused vinyl developed by General Tire called Tolex. For the grill cloth he used the acoustically invisible material called Saran developed by DuPont Chemical in 1955. This is the same tweed style grille cloth material he used throughout the entire amplifier line since 1955. I decided to recreate a replica of this prototype amp. I didn’t have the exact Tolex material but I used a close copy of Rough Chocolate Brown. I also used a re-issue Fender flat logo, all new hardware throughout with the exception of the piggy-back slide brackets, and a brown strap handle on the top. I read somewhere that Fender’s piggy-back prototype amplifier head was presented to the instrumental band, The Champs, (recorded the hit song “Tequila”) in 1960. Serial # A 05409. Tube Chart Stamp – Can’t Read. (26th week of 1964). Silver Stamp Inside Chassis. (45th week of 1964). (34th week of 1964). (36th week of 1964). Red number 16 stamp. It might serve the buyers purpose to bring up the power slowly with a variac since these used amp heads are over 50 years old and have not been used for a few decades. Our amp tech has only replaced the needed parts -(filter caps & power cords as specified) to just get them turned on and running for an hour. Please see a skilled amp tech before extended use. The operation of the amps requires that they be regularly serviced for optimal performance. Please remember these are vintage pieces, we cannot guarantee that they will not need service or more parts in their future; only some obvious parts were changed to get it working. Most of the parts are still the original old parts remaining which will be stated in our listings. We do not have any control on what was done by previous owners, but we try to write in detail any information we have. We cannot guarantee that all our information is 100% correct; it is our humble opinions and own musical knowledge. Please see photos and ask questions to make your own assessment.
