These three tubes came out of a seldom used Norelco tape player, tested 100% both sides, each tube. Seems to me the sub numbers are all the same. Appears number to me to be 165 41k2. Nice lettering, I think great tubes, but not a tube expert like some claim on here. I did not clean. I think nice virgin seldom used tubes, just my opinion. This a Great estate sale find, it is an EICO HF20 Monoblock Audio Amplifier. It is in Excellent working condition, with two 12AX7 preamp tubes. This amplifier has been in storage for fourteen years. It belonged to the owner of a high end audio transformer company. It is a kit build, very cleanly done, but the storage had taken its toll. All of the tubes were gone and I’ve replaced them. I have not cleaned the rust or corrosion off of the amplifier, that’s up to you to do and you can do as much or as little as you desire. What we’re talking about there is cosmetics, this amp it sounds great; all of the pots and switches have been cleaned, and the voltages checked. The amplifier is an Ultra-Linear Williamson type, with a 20 watt output. The preamplifier/equalization section uses inverse feedback allowing it to match the low distortion of the power amplifier. Bass and Treble EQ is ±15db. It has outputs for 4, 8, and 16? , plus a Tape Recorder output. There are seven inputs, two Phono with Equalization, Tuner and four high level jacks. The amp weighs 24 lbs. A copy of the manual and assembly instructions is included. I played it for six hours; it had no glitches, no smoke and a wonderful sound. If you need more pictures or information please let me know.
This particular set tests very strong and are closely balanced. The print on these tubes is extremely fragile and will easily rub off, most has already rubbed off on one of them, special care was taken not to rub off any more while testing (the one that still has the most print is the stronger of the 2). The tubes’ test results are displayed in the photos (New 12AX7 Spec 100% = 1,600 Gm). See the photos for physical / cosmetic condition. Notes Regarding Tube Tests. All tubes are tested on an Amplitrex AT-1000 tester in the automatic Fixed Bias Mode (for the most conservative results). Test Results are for a general reference only, and are not a guarantee of performance, nor a guarantee of how they will test on your tester. No real world (audio) performance measurements are taken.
VINTAGE AMPEREX BUGLE BOY 12AX7 AMP TUBE. MADE IN HOLLAND IN 1957. TALL GREY PLATES AND D FOIL GETTER. TEST STRONG FOR EMISSIONS, NO SHORTS OR GRID LEAKAGE.
Vintage Tube Amplier Repurposed CBS 12AX7 + 2x 50C5′s Push Pull Handmade Chassis. I’ve repurposed an old CBS record player amp. It has original vintage concave style knobs, vintage power switch, and original speaker, but has an orange led for “on” indicator. You can use either stereo or mono. You only need to hook up either one of the RCA jacks in the rear for it to work. A low powered input is strong enough to power this beautiful 1950′s looking “radio” for original tube sound! The case is handmade from plywood and mdf with a plexiglass window. It has a 6 original speaker which had three very small holes in it which I repaired. I’ve run this for many hours without a problem and it sounds great! I’ve not tried it with a guitar, but it might work as a guitar amp. It has volume and tone controls. Original can capacitor and selenium rectifier were left on the chassis for show only and are not in ANY way electrically hooked up. The filter capacitors test fine with a high voltage tester to the microamp range. I only have a very basic schematic drawn on graph paper as I couldn’t find an exact schematic so I had to reverse engineer it. It is a very simple push pull design, so not too difficult to follow. Has a two prong polarized five foot power cord with a 1 amp internal fuse. This is originally a transformerless set, but now has an isolation transformer. There is NO electric connection between the chassis and the wall plug whatsoever! Note: This sale is just for the Amplifier. Other items in the photos are for photographing purposes only. Thank you for your interest!

Here is a very clean Harman Kardon TA3000X tube receiver. It was removed from the console. It does NOT have a cover. Cosmetically it is very clean. The chassis is exceptionally clean since it lived in the console most of its life. The face panel and knobs are very presentable. Very solid and straight corners. It is all stock from what I can see. I also do not have any service history. The original German 12AX7 tubes were removed and replaced with good American tubes. The 7408 American HK labeled are original. There are some German HK labeled tubes still in the unit. This receiver is surprisingly working well as is. A restoration is highly recommended for future long lasting reliability. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL OF THE PICTURES PROVIDED AND ASK FOR MORE IF NEEDED. PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
