Testing performed attached to a variac never exceeded 70 volts. Tube filaments lit, and noise can be heard in the speaker when adjusting the volume control. Appears previous owner replaced some tubes and the power cord. No further testing performed, and no input jack. 11.5″ x 8″ x 5.5 and weighs about 9 lbs. Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and loaded with a bevy of vintage tubes. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender models for its ideal size and power, well-suited to both stage and studio applications. The amp delivers sparkling cut and muscle, and a surprising amount of headroom, cascading into lightly compressed tube overdrive when pushing towards 10 on the Volume dial. Offering 35 tube watts through the original CTS alnico magnet 10 speaker pair, the Vibrolux is the perfect platform for getting the most out of a variety of guitars and stompboxes. Clean and sweet up til about 5 on the Volume knob (with a perceived volume that’s loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer), the Vibrolux has clear note attack and sweet tube rectifier sag, not to mention lush tube-driven Reverb and percussive Tremolo. The circuit is 100% original save for one capacitor, and all of the transformers are manufactured by Fender’s primary transformer supplier in this era, Schumacher, dating between late 1975 and early’76. Fully serviced, all pots, switches, jacks and tube sockets have been thoroughly cleaned, and even the original power supply caps are still viable. The preamp retains a full complement of original blue molded caps, and all of the original CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 39th week of’75. The tubes are largely vintage, with a matched pair of Sylvania 6L6 power tubes and Fender-branded RCA-made valves in the preamp. The CTS alnico magnet 10 speakers are the original matched pair with black frames and (faded) blue Fender foil stickers on the alnico magnets. The date stamps on the edges of the frames are from the 22nd week of’76. These are also the same speakers seen in Super Reverbs of the era. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet as well. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are intact and extremely clean, with uniform darkening of the cloth. The hardware shows light surface patina on the original handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet). The faceplate is also particularly well-kept with a full complement of witch hat knobs. The original two-button footswitch is included.

Here we have a pair Philips tweeter speaker, made around 1959 by Philips, Hamburg plant, West-Germany. These bakelit horn drivers have phenolic membranes and 8 Ohm impedance. The Pout is around 12 Watt from my papers. These were fit in aluminium horns at that time. I have more pairs of these Philips in stock. (last pictures shows my stock). The Magnets are type cross AlNico. Perfect for any low power single ended tube amp.

The date stamps on the edges of the frames date to the 5th week of’74. These are also the same speakers seen in Super Reverbs of the era. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet as well. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are intact, exhibiting some scuffs and a couple bald corners. The hardware shows light surface patina on the original handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet). The faceplate, in contrast, is particularly well-kept with a full complement of witch hat knobs. A modern Fender two-button footswitch is included.

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Super Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The amp features its original quad of alnico 10 CTS speakers, pushing 40 watts of pure Fender Blackface clean tone via a pair of 6L6 power tubes. Perfect for gigging situations and an ideal recording amplifier, the amp provides pristine, muscly Fender cleans until you hit the 4-5 range on the volume dial, where a bit of tube and speaker breakup sends the amp into smooth overdrive. The Reverb is lush and deep, and the Tremolo has a nice pulse, with everything from swampy and slow to machine gun fast pulses. The circuit boasts a well-maintained preamp, retaining all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps central to the smooth, musical character of Fender’s Blackface amps. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from’66, and the preamp is untouched save for a few small electrolytic caps. The power cable has been upgraded to a modern three-prong for safety’s sake, and the power supply features fresh high quality Sprague Atom filter caps. The amp features a pair of matched Sovtek 5881 (6L6) power tubes, along with a Groove Tubes 5U4 rectifier and a combination of modern and vintage valves in the preamp. The chassis itself is very clean, as is the original faceplate and stock witch hat knobs. The original quartet of CTS alnico speakers are intact, all with clean frames and original blue foil Fender stickers on the magnets. The original speaker harness is present, as is the tube chart which has a QH date stamp, translating to August of 1967. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are in remarkable shape, with only very minor wear around the edges of the cabinet and one small snag on the grillcloth near the lower edge of the baffle. The original nickel corners, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, chrome pat. Pending tilt-back legs, and raised “Fender” logo are present, and all hardware is in excellent shape. This well-maintained and cosmetically clean vintage Super Reverb has been serviced to sound its best and run reliably for years to come, with modern power tubes and a clean bill of health. Plugged in and pilot lamps light up. Plugged mic into other amp to test mic and it does not work. I have no other way to test this item. The case has been refinished and features original leather handle, rubber feet and metal hardware. The case comes with its hinged back cover. The on-off switch is missing from the mic. The tubes all have 7 volt heaters so it is difficult to see if the tube filaments glowing or not though I could see for sure 3 tubes glowed. I removed 10 Alnico speaker to inspect to find no holes, rips or tears, excellent condition. Tested speaker with battery to verify voice coil is good and speaker works. No further testing done.
