Vintage Tube Amp

Antique 1920s Westinghouse RA Receiving Tuner & DA Detector Amp Combo – Vtg Tube. Up for sale is a remarkably preserved piece of broadcasting history: a matching 1920s Westinghouse Type RA Receiving Tuner and Type DA Detector-Amplifier system. Originally designed by radio pioneer Frank Conrad, this early 100+ year-old battery set is a centerpiece item for any antique electronics collector or museum display. The black metal top panel is in exceptional condition with crisp, bright, highly legible stenciling. All knobs, dials, and binding posts feel mechanically smooth and adjust cleanly. Inclusions: Appears fully intact internally and includes an installed vintage vacuum tube. Also comes with an authentic, period-correct Cannonball Dixie single earphone. The original finished wood cabinet remains structurally sound and presents wonderfully. Note that the top leather carrying handle has broken off over the decades and is missing. Due to the delicate nature of 100-year-old electronics and a lack of a compatible early battery power supply setup, this unit is completely untested. All listings are written and posted by humans! >>PLEASE NOTE- The lamp was hand built and made by an American folk artist and NOT a Fender made product, this is a one-of-a-kind lighted art piece made as a tribute to the legendary Fender guitar Company. Whether you are a fan of the brand or simply appreciate vintage folk art & advertising, this lighted tribute is a great addition to your collection. The Art Deco theme has a huge presence of elegance and sophistication, and this light/sign originality is sure to impress. The light is an antique all metal atomic machine age Art Deco lamp housing with a removable top for easy bulb change. There is chrome fender guitar accenting suspended on metal deco pillars and a small power on amber indicator light under the center of the logo to give it a warm tube amp glowing feel/vibe. The finish is a satin sheen liquid silver and flows beautifully with the chrome accents. There is aging and patina on the inside of the main top shade and under side of the base due to the lamps age. There is also some knicks and scrapes on the light’s housing as well as imperfections under the newer satin finish such as slight pitting etc. There is some paint flaking by one of the bottom fastener nuts on the base. Overall the light is fairly light weight but is made of antique pressed steel and very stout/sturdy. Approximately 10 3/16″ Diameter at the shade x 15″ tall. This is a hand built folk artist tribute to Fender guitar and amps that has a purpose you can use as well. We feel it is EXTREMELY unique and a possible great gift idea for any Fender enthusiast who already has it all and likes the unique folk art. PLEASE NOTE- Please review all photos using zoom and there is plenty more photos upon request, the original lamp platform used is approximately 90 years old and this piece was built by hand, so please keep in mind there are imperfections throughout, feel free to ask questions if needed if your unsure on anything prior to purchasing. The light was built with a combination of antique, vintage and newer parts. Thank you for looking!

Step back into the dawn of radio with this Westinghouse Aeriola Senior Amplifier, Type AC, Style 326032 – a rare and historic piece from the early 1920s, when wireless listening was still a brand-new frontier. This handsome wooden-cased unit was designed as a two-stage audio amplifier, boosting signals from the Aeriola Senior and other crystal sets so listeners could drive a loudspeaker or multiple headphones. It represents one of the very first commercial steps from headphones-only crystal radios into amplified home listening. Authenticity: Still retains its original instruction sheet inside the lid, complete with Westinghouse branding, wiring diagrams, and connection notes – a true time capsule. Controls: Dual filament rheostats on the front panel, original jacks and hardware, clearly labeled “Detector” and 1st / 2nd Stage. Construction: All-original interior with early transformers, hand-soldered connections, and period wiring – a look at radio technology just as the vacuum tube was changing the world. Condition: Excellent presentation with only light wear consistent with age. Wood case shows a warm patina. Inside components are intact (see photos). This piece is untested and offered as-is for display, restoration, or collection. Collectors know how scarce these early Westinghouse amplifiers are, especially complete and with the factory instruction card still present. Whether you are a serious antique radio enthusiast, a museum curator, or a lover of early 20th-century technology, this amplifier captures the excitement of the “Radio Boom” era like few other items.

Up for grabs here is a very rare pair of 12AX7 new Old stock tubes both in the original boxes. I believe both of these tubes are TUNG – SOL rebrand tubes. This is a blue printing pair of tubes. One of the tubes has smooth black plates and an angled square getter. I tested it and it tested well with the new Old stock values. It was at like 990 on both lines, whereas a typical new Old stock tube averages 1000 so it is well within the average ranges. The other Tube has grey plates and a goal post getter with a foil strip with twin dimples in the foil strip at the tip. This tube also tested new old stock at 990 on both lines. I did a bit of research on these tubes and I believe they’re both manufactured by TUNG – SOL. Feel free to ask any questions you have order to make an offer. Thank you for looking. Have a blessed day.
