Vintage Tube Amp

Very Cool Rare 1940s Vintage Silvertone Model 1300 Tube Guitar Amplifier. This has been sitting unused for many years. I do not have a VARIAC so I have not plugged it in to test it and possibly screw something up in the process. Given its age it would be prudent to have it checked over by a tech before use. I do not know its life history or if it had ever been modified by a previous owner so I have provided several photos of the interior so you can see for yourself what is behind the covers. Looks good for its age – needs some adhesive on some of the loose covering over the wood frame and a bit of interior dusting. According to the catalog, the 1300 was rated at 8 watts undistorted, with 12-14 maximum output watts possible at the cost of a slightly distorted sound.

Estate find, very old. I have not attempted to plug in and power on. Not sure exactly what it is. The only branding I see is on the volume indicator.

Silvertone Medalist Model 7405 Stereo Tube Integrated Amp. Similar if not identical to the Medalist 3029 model. Works as it should and sounds great. All controls and tube sockets have been cleaned. All inputs have been tested. Has some scuffs & scratches. Looks like 2 of the can capacitors have had their components replaced.

Nice Vintage Brass Face Fisher X-1000 Stereo Tube Integrated Amplifier in Wood Cabinet. If you know this machine then you know that it is a very complex over engineered? The preamp section has a number of unusual circuits. The Aux inputs are tied directly to the Tape Monitor inputs. There is a strange Center Channel circuit. There are also 2 features called’Spacexpander’ and’Dimension’. Typically, these features are disabled or modified for modern listening usage. There is also a 9 pin socket at the rear for a remote control unit. In this particular unit the Remote Control socket has been bypassed. The 2 resistors and 2 capacitors that tie the Tape Monitor to the other Inputs have been removed to give a Tape Monitor a clear pathway past the noisy gimmicky circuitry. Line inputs into the Tape Monitor sound fantastic. Nice, quiet and clean. All of the other Inputs work but are somewhat noisy to my ears. The Power Amp works fine and the bias adjusts properly. The preamp tubes are mostly original Fisher branded Telefunkens. The output tubes are all Mullard (2 branded Tesla; 1 GE and 1 Daystrom). One of the amber jewels on the front panel has been replaced. Includes all tubes shown. 2 of the output tubes are missing their keyways. Paint has minimal pitting. No tube cage is included. Super Nice Leslie 32H Series 3 Tube Amplifier for Field Coil Speaker. Tested as an amplifier and works as expected. I have not tested the non-amplifier Brake? Includes all tubes shown. The output tubes are vintage RCA 6L6′s. One of the output tubes has a broken keyway but works fine. No speaker is included. Nice & Clean McIntosh MC240 Stereo Tube Power Amplifier. Works as it should. Looks and sounds great. All controls have been cleaned. The troublesome Selenium rectifier & circuit has been replaced with a stable modern equivalent. The thermistor and 2 other electrolytic capacitors have also been replaced. As far as I can tell everything else is all original. The 12AX7 and 12AU7 preamp tubes are Telefunken. The output tubes are Blackplate RCA 6L6′s 2 of which are badged McIntosh. The potentiometers date to 1965. Nice clean solid working unit. Includes all tubes shown.
