Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. A transitional “drip edge” example with aluminum trim framing the grillcloth, this Deluxe Reverb has an identical AB763 circuit to its “Black Panel” forebears. Extremely original and freshly serviced to ensure optimal performance, the Deluxe Reverb has a sweet, balanced sound that delivers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender’s golden era. This amp is very responsive to player inputs, working as a perfect platform for effects pedals, and while the treble response can twang with the best, there’s a smoothness to the top end that keeps the amp from sounding harsh. Turning up past around 5 on the volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of sizzle. The Reverb is lush with long decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when increasing the intensity. The circuit retains all of the original Schumacher-made transformers (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in this era), with date codes primarily from the first weeks of 1969, while the choke dates back to mid-1966. The preamp is completely original save for a couple smaller Sprague capacitors and a single resistor to ensure performance in-line with original factory specifications. The original CTS pots are intact, also with visible date codes from the 16th week of’66 and the 7th week of’69. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality F&T caps, and a three-prong cable has been installed too. Tubes comprise a fresh, properly-biased pair of JJ 6V6s, while the rectifier and full set of preamp tubes are all original RCA-made valves. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 12T6 12 ceramic magnet driver with a clean black frame. The speaker is higher wattage than the stock driver, ensuring optimal headroom and bass response, dating to early 1970. The speaker is mounted to the original baffle, notable for being one of the very last screw-in baffles used by Fender before the glued-in baffles became the norm for the remainder of the Silverface run. The baffle is in great shape, and this earlier style is considered to be more resonant and also far easier to replace if the necessity were to arise. The original tube chart is intact inside the cabinet too, noting the AB763 circuit. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact, with only light aging of the grill and similarly restrained wear on the enclosure. The original faceplate has all of its turquoise text with just a speckling of patina, retaining a full complement of witch hat knobs. Hardware includes the original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and raised Fender logo with tail. This vintage Deluxe Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 55 years of use. The amp comes complete with the original black two-button footswitch to engage the Reverb and Vibrato effects.

INCREDIBLE OLD SCHOOL TUBE TONE at an AFFORDIBLE PRICE! This is a VINTAGE 1979 FENDER DELUXE REVERB AMPLIFIER 1-12 COMBO. This is a 1970′s SILVERFACE AMP W/ ORIGINAL FOOTSWITCHES. It has been maintained and serviced through its history. All the tubes test strong on my Hickok 6000a tester. The amp is in perfect working order. No scratchy pots and everything works as it should. For the most part a quiet amp at idle with some very light white noise, well it’s a 45-year-old tube amp. There has been repair work done to the cabinet. The top joints have been reglued and screws have been added for support. It’s a solid cab. THE AMP LOOKS GREAT and SOUNDS AWESOME!! The speaker was made by CTS and has a 1978 date code. Transformers are all original with 1979 date codes. There are newer capacitors under the main supply pan that are dated 2003, so I suspect that is when it was recapped last. The things I have done to the amp include cleaning the controls, resoldering the plug end of the reverb switch and replacing a couple of microphonic 12AX7 tubes. I also noticed it has a replaced and a cracked knob, and a replaced power plug. This amp has a fairly rare/usable feature… A push/pull volume/mid boost that is also foot switchable. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 6 hours recently and it did not fail, smoke, throw sparks, blow fuses, start on fire, etc. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet, handles, knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. Old electronics can fail at any time. This is part of my estate. LOOK AT ALL MY LISTINGS!!! You should not have to live with something you are unhappy with for any reason. If you alter, modify, change or “repair” the item in anyway without my consent, you are accepting the item “as is”, at the price paid. We will work through the claim together until things are right.

For sale, one gorgeous very original vintage silverface 1978 Fender Deluxe Reverb 20 watt all tube guitar amplifier 1×12 combo in excellent condition! Works perfectly, sounds like a dream. 20 delicious all tube watts from two 6V6GT power tubes, four 12AX7 and two 12AT7 in the preamp, and 5U4 rectification. Two channels, Normal with two band EQ stack, and Vibrato with three band EQ and foot-switchable tube driven real spring tank reverb and Fender’s signature vary-bias vibrato. The sound that built Rock and Roll, and dominates in several genres. Original Fender branded CTS 12 speaker and all original transformers. And you can only imagine how it sounds. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed-era 5E3, and this amp delivers everything one expects from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The preamp and power supply features new electrolytic caps, cleanly sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers for a proper vintage look. A modern three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tube set includes vintage matched Sylvania 6V6 power tubes, an RCA 5Y3 rectifier, and modern preamp tubes. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico magnet 12 driver with a deep blue/green frame and Jensen sticker on the bell cover. The date on the edge of the speaker frame is from the 2nd week of 1959. The tube chart is extremely clean with an “HC” date stamp which translates to March of’58. The inked serial on the chart matches the number stamped on the chassis too. The chrome on the chassis is bright and clean, and virtually all of the original white silkscreened text present. All of the original chicken head knobs are present too. The original tweed and oxblood grillcloth is intact, with ambering of the lacquer on the tweed, and modest edge wear on the enclosure. The original leather handle is present, secured with stock brackets.
