1954 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5D3 Wide Panel Vintage Tube Amp 1x12 with Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1954 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The precursor to the narrow panel 5E3 circuit, this 5D3 “wide panel” Deluxe is an exceedingly well-kept and very original example, complete with the original Triad transformers, Jensen P12R speaker, and a vintage tube complement. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels on the three input circuit with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit retains the original Triad transformer pair, and the chassis is remarkably clean. The preamp features original red Astron “dynamite” capacitors, Stackpole pots (with visible date codes from the 43rd week of’54), and carbon comp resistors, with modern premium USA-made filter caps and smaller electrolytics to ensure optimal performance and reliability, sleeved in the original Astron Minimite wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The amp is loaded with a complete set of vintage tubes including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, a GE 5Y3 rectifier, and Tung Sol and Sylvania valves in the preamp The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with an extremely clean dark green frame. This speaker dates to the 46th week of’54, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “DL” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to December of’54. The chrome on the chassis is positively gleaming, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed shows limited ambering, with some minor requisite scuffing on the edges of the cabinet and on the corners. Both back panels are original as well, as is the oxblood grillcloth and even the original leather handle. This Deluxe is an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb Vintage Tube Amp Black Panel AB763 Circuit with Ftsw

Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a two-button footswitch. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb has been thoroughly serviced with an eye towards reliable gig and studio-worthy performance, updated to run on 6L6 power tubes for additional clean headroom and power. Boasting a new MojoTone speaker cabinet, a full complement of Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone transformers, a Sprague Atom recapped power supply, TRS effects loop, and reconed vintage Fender/Oxford speaker, this particular Deluxe bridges the gap in tonal richness and modern functionality between a genuine vintage example and Fender’s recent Custom Shop’64 model. Stocked with a matched pair of Groove Tubes 6L6 power tubes, this Deluxe delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades. The amp delivers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender’s Black Panel era, a perfect platform for a host of effects pedals. Turning up past 5 on the Volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of bark and body. The Reverb is lush with long decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when you increase the intensity. The circuit boasts Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone transformers, the same high-quality USA-made iron that Fender uses for their highest tier Custom Shop amps. These transformers are extremely reliable and tonally rich, utilizing the same premium materials and techniques that make the originals so revered. The preamp is extremely original with cloth covered leads on the eyelet board, the original set of CTS pots which have visible date codes from the 13th week of’66, and the majority of the blue molded Ajax capacitors, central to the sweet, musical character of the Black Panel amps. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality Sprague Atoms, and a three-prong cable has been installed too. The speaker is a vintage Oxford 12L6 ceramic driver which dates to the 18th week of 1965. The speaker has a clean frame and Fender foil label on the magnet, recently reconed for optimal reliability and life, and broken in enough to not sound stiff. The cabinet is a brand new vintage reissue courtesy of MojoTone, crafted of solid finger-jointed pine with a 100% void-free baltic birch baffle. This cabinet sounds lively and is a perfect match for the Deluxe Reverb’s vintage aesthetics, with smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth, aged in-house here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The amp retains much of its original hardware including handle caps, chassis straps, and the raised Fender logo on the grill. The original faceplate retains its full set of witch hat knobs, and this amp is the perfect marriage of modern performance and genuine 1960s vintage Fender tonal purity. A modern two-button Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1958 Fender Deluxe Tweed Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp 5E3 Circuit, Jensen P12R

Up for sale, a 1958 Fender Deluxe with stunningly clean tweed in perfect working order, boasting the original Jensen P12R speaker and loaded with a vintage tube set. This Tweed has been incredibly well cared for, with a practically perfect chrome faceplate and expertly maintained circuit, retaining an immaculate vintage look down to the smallest details while also concealing new top tier components installed as needed to ensure optimal functionality. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit boasts the original Triad power transformer, with a Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone output transformer, made to exacting vintage spec with open end bells. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with matching date codes from the 43rd week of’58, and the preamp features new Mallory and Jupiter tubular caps installed inside the original molded yellow Astron casings. Similarly the smaller electrolytics and main filter caps feature new top tier Sprague components concealed inside the Astron Minimite wrappers, and even the original end caps for the capacitors have been reused. It’s the most exacting restoration work we’ve ever seen on a 5E3 circuit, and a gray three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tubes are all vintage USA-made RCAs with a matched pair of 6V6s. The original Jensen P12R alnico magnet 12 driver has a very clean teal frame and Jensen sticker, professionally reconed with a date on the edge of the frame from the 37th week of’58. The speaker retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “HL” stamp on the bright white tube chart, which translates to December of’58. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original leather handle is still intact. The lacquered tweed is original and notably un-ambered, with the only wear of note being a single cigarette burn on top, while the oxblood grillcloth is modern on the original baffle. Hardware includes the original screw-in feet, Fender Deluxe badge, and handle ends. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. 1955 Fender Deluxe Tweed Small Box Narrow Panel Vintage Tube Amp 5E3 Circuit

Up for sale, a 1955 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This first-year iteration of the narrow panel 5E3 Tweed-era circuit has the distinctive “small box” cabinet seen only on Deluxes produced in’55, notably more compact than the cabinets used from 1956-60 and significantly rarer. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a classic and well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. The circuit is extremely original, boasting both stock Triad transformers. The amp has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with new Sprague Atom filter caps and smaller electrolytics. The amp is loaded with red Astron-style modern Jupiter caps in the preamp, with two newer CTS pots and one original Stackpole pot which dates back to the 51st week of’54. The Stackpole Tone pot also retains its original yellow Astron capacitor and distinctive “domino” Cornell Dubilier resistor. Tubes include matched RCA 6V6 power tubes, a vintage 5Y3 rectifier and one vintage RCA preamp tube paired with a complimentary modern Groove Tubes-branded valve. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 driver with a recent recone. This speaker dates to the 31st week of’55 and retains the original Jensen foil label on the magnet bell as well as the speaker harness with cloth-covered wire and stock 1/4 input. The tube chart is intact with a handwritten serial that matches the chassis and an “EH” date stamp which translates to August of 1955. The chassis itself retains the identical “EH” stamps. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. The original tweed shows deep ambering and some light wear on the enclosure edges. The original oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe is also intact and in great shape. The leather handle is a modern replacement, and the back panels are custom made to fit the unique small box cabinet, both featuring new tweed aged to match the otherwise original covering on the cabinet. The stock badge on the amp’s face simply says “Fender, ” a holdover from the earlier Tweeds before the longer “Fender Deluxe” badge that would be seen in subsequent years. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely.
