Vintage Eico HF-20 TUBE AUDIO AMPLIFIER 6L6 G Hammond 290CX Fixed Power Amp 14W gsaudioinc. This item comes in the condition shown in the photos and video. This is in very nice cosmetic condition. The power transformer has been replaced with a current Hammond 290CX. The operation has been change to operate a as fixed power amplifier with no tone input, or attenuation control. We can probably put it back to original operation, but it would be pricey. We always provide accurate descriptions and explanations to the best of our ability. Eico HF-20 Tube Amplifier (2 monoblock included) tested – works but needs replacement of capacitors and some work. Transformers work quietly and do not heat up.

Good overall condition, some areas could be touched up, please see photos for cosmetics. I did clean up the top a bit, was very dusty from sitting – likely for 40+ years. Great project amplifier – service/restore it and tube it… Good guitar conversion project, or pair it with your other HF-20 and make it stereo! VERY HEAVY – will be double boxed and packed right.

Good (listed as “used”) – item has regular signs of daily use, minor scratches and is overall operational except things I specifically list in the post as issues or not working. Fair (listed as “used”) – item has significant signs of use, major scratches, missing parts, is checked only for basic functionality like: powers on. Item is not fully tested except exactly and only what I write in the post. For Repair of Parts (listed “for parts”) – Item is not tested at all or has issues I was able to find and clearly this is for repair of parts.

These are super nice. Plugged in a bluetooth receiver into the aux ports, and away she went. Sounded amazing, tight, clean etc. Turning the loudness back on it just a little evened it out. I cleaned it up a bit, was a bit dirty.

Vintage EICO model HF-20 mono integrated tube power amplifier, WITHOUT cage. It dates from approximately 1958, and is in original as-found condition with wear and cosmetic issues consistent with its age. The 2-prong power cord is fairly stiff and the strain relief grommet where it enters the chassis has crumbled. The AC receptacle on the rear panel labeled “Phono Power” is chipped. There is a small gouge at the center top of the screening on the rear panel where it once indicated “HF-20″ as shown. All electrical components appear to be original. Note that there’s a crease in the top of one of the multi-section electrolytic capacitors as shown in pics. There is some minor corrosion on the end bells of the output transformer, and some flaking of the finish around some of the mounting screws on the top of the chassis. The knobs have various scratches as shown. The tubes used are a mix of RCA, GE, Tung-Sol, Realistic, and Groove Tubes, and are types: 6L6GC/5881, 12AX7-ECC83, 12AU7/A, and 5U4GB. NOTE: This amplifier was briefly tested at line voltage and idled without incident or excessive hum through an 8-ohm speaker. A Sony Discman CD player was connected to the “Phono-2″ RCA input on the rear panel, and it played to a comfortable level. The EQ controls appeared to affect their respective frequency ranges. As this is a 60+ -year-old electronic device, no guarantee is being made as to its operating condition or specifications. It should be presumed that it could be in need of restorative or repair work to perform as intended.
