McIntosh MC-60 Monoblock Tube Amplifier. Vintage McIntosh MC-60 Mono Tube Amplifier. 60 watt mono tube amplifier. There are pits throughout to the chrome chassis, and I applied chrome polish to a couple of areas and it came fairly clean, leaving some tiny pits still viewable. Transformer paint has blemish marks on them & they could be cleaned up. Chrome McIntosh script is in very good condition. Bottom cover looks to have been repainted sometime ago. Some of the internal capacitors look to be replaced and power cord is a 3-prong grounded type. The tubes appear to be American brands. Included in the sale are two different catalogs from the 1970′s in good condition and a service manual. This is a heavy amplifier… The tubes are individually wrapped & packaged in their own box. This is a pair of McIntosh MC-30s in excellent condition. These are about as clean as can be expected for this era. There are a couple of rust spots, some very light pitting in places, and maybe a few scratches, but these are absolutely beautiful. These have consecutive serial numbers, which makes them an extremely rare matched pair. You could go years without seeing another matched pair come up for sale. Units have not been turned on for many years, maybe had a resistor/cap or two replaced, and appear to have had the cord replaced. They’re ready to restore the way you want to. Tubes are unremarkable, you’ll want to replace and matched up pairs of tubes on these. The lettering is 98% present on both. The transformers and bottom covers are in excellent condition with paint in beautiful condition. This is a matched pair in terms of the circuitry and components that are identical. For sale is a pair of McIntosh MC-60 amplifiers in completely original condition. They have not been turned on in probably 30 years. The last time they were used, they worked according to the original owner, but the system stored in a console was replaced by a more modern AV system that became popular at the time. I bought them several years ago intending to rebuild the power supplies and use them, but I simply have too many projects and think its a shame to hoard gear that could be used by someone else. These will come with a quad matched set of vintage Tung-Sol 6550s that test good. These amplifiers are in good condition, but with wear consistent with being exposed to air for nearly 60 years. For sale is a pair of MC-60s in good condition. They’ve certainly been enjoyed and they are not perfect, but for the most part, the chrome is free of pitting. These were used sparingly and have had service done over the years, but are still mostly original. Bottom covers have some wear and paint chips. There are also a couple of areas where the mounts are slightly tweaked. The chrome does have scratches and a rust spots, but I would consider them normal for the age. Transformers are mostly clean, but do have scratches. One has some paint overspray on it. It will come off, but I did not fully remove all of it. No dings or dents however. They worked when last used. They were used up until a few years ago, but these will need to be serviced before they are used for any amount of time. The power cords on both are frayed and will need to be replaced or shortened before anything else can be done. You will also need a pair of rectifiers and your choice of power tubes. What you see is what is included and these were the tubes that were in the unit. Please see the photos I’ve taken. I’ve done my best to cover all angles. These truly are nice amplifiers, but I want to be transparent so that there are no surprises. The amplifiers will be boxed and insured separately.
