This power amplifier is Mono and the power output is 70 watt, metal case, 10 tubes, year of production 1959 – 1961 made in the Netherlands by Philips, output tubes are 4x EL36.

Original pre amplifier for Philips HF303 HF304 or HF309 monoblock end amps. Housing is in nice condition, as well as the original inside. It has original Philips tubes, and it plays great. This is the mono version of the HF306 stereo pre amplifier. These come up rarely for sale, they are super rare. Unfortunately it is missing one knob insert as can be seen on the photos.

I sell this amplifier as not working for restoration project complete with tubes (tubes and transformer ok). This vintage tube power amplifier type AG9014 is a 2 x 10 Watt Philips stereo amplifier from 1958. The amplifier has balance output stages that are direct, that is to say without the interruption of a transformer, with 800 ohm speakers (initially type AD5038, later AD5046, with AD3701AM and 9710AM drivers respectively) be connected. The matching tuner can be type A5X83A from 1958 (mono) or A5X93A from 1963 (stereo), a suitable gramophone is the AG2209 (with AG3401 pick-up). On the front panel there are 4 rotary controls for Treble, Bass, Volume and Balance. Furthermore, an On / Off slide switch, push buttons for Tuner, PU and Tape selection, Stereo / Mono keys, a yellow Distortion light and a green Mains light. The distortion lamp lights up when the amplifier is almost completely outputted. The amplifier is also supplied with gray buttons instead of cream. Up for sale here is this vintage Philips A3X95A powered speaker, I believe from the late 1950s or early 1960s. This is basically a wood cabinet with a small tube amplifier and a speaker (close to 6×9, possibly alnico) inside. I couldn’t find much about this on the net–it’s apparently pretty rare. It has 3 inputs in the back–an RCA jack and two bi-pin jacks. This is a really neat little powered speaker, and you could use it as a guitar amp with just a bit of tinkering. I brought this up on a Variac, and it does play fine and sounds good. I didn’t hear any noticeable hum or buzzing, but as this is over 50 years old I would strongly recommend recapping and rebuilding it. This uses 3 tubes–an EZ80 rectifier tube, an EL86 output tube, and a 12AX7/ECC83 tube. They are all included, but are untested, though they presumably work, since the amp works. The EZ80 and EL86 appear to be original, but the 12AX7 is a GE, replaced by a previous owner. As far as I know this is original otherwise–I don’t think this was recapped or had other work done. Cosmetic condition is pretty rough. The wood cabinet is in bad condition, and this is missing a knob. The emblem is missing from the upper left, and the grillcloth is torn a bit. The light does work. The power cord has some electrical tape on it and may have been spliced. I would recommend replacing it. This looks pretty cool–it has a nice “rat rod” appearance. This is tested and plays fine, but it doesn’t have a ton of power. This would probably be pretty easy to convert into a guitar amplifier, and I’m sure it would do amazing things. I believe you’d need to add a gain stage, or change things around a bit. This is currently working, but I would strongly recommend rebuilding it. Please see my pictures for details.
