Here’s a great Pilot model PT-1030D mono tube amp. This amp puts out about 15 watts of sound to an 8 amp speaker load. Speakers are hooked up to the black and red wires from the speaker plug on the amp. There are 6 vacuum tubes. The rectifier is an Amperex Bugle Boy 6CA4/EX81 tube. There are two 6BQ5/EL84 tubes. One is a Telefunken and the other is a Mullard. The three ECC83/12AX7 tubes are ribbed Telefunken tubes. All are the real deal. The only testing they have had are in this amp and they sound good so they have never been removed from the amp. The old cord was removed and replaced with a grounded power cord, fuse and rubber feet for safety. Most of the capacitors were replaced except for the ceramic discs and can capacitors because the amp is very quiet. All out of tolerance resistors were replaced. All other components on the amp like the faceplate, knobs, transformers, etc. Are original to the amp. Using vintage dual table, luxman preamp and ADS L880 speakers the sound is lush, warm and precise. Bench and audio system tested. Professionally Serviced with new electrolytics as needed using audio grade components. Working and sounding fantastic. As with all vintage amplifiers they should be operated with Variac to select proper operating voltage (117VAC). And always connect speakers before powering on amplifier. What an amazing player; Pilot spared no expense in the quality and workmanship that went into every detail of this beautiful machine… It was a real pleasure to bring this player back to life, and it now looks, perhaps, even nicer than it did new! This player is just so cool looking, with it’s striking vintage black and white cabinet, silver and black grill cloth, and gold tapered legs. The entire cabinet was recovered with vintage style coverings, the exact same kind used back in the day… See close ups of the wonderful quality and texture of the covering! Pilot has always been well known for their powerful and beautiful sounding tube amplifiers, and this model is equipped with their absolute best. Sporting three 12AX7 tubes, dual EL84 outputs, and a 6CA4 rectifier… All the tubes are original 1950′s Telefunken and Mullard, and all tested super strong!! The amplifier has all new capacitors and resistors, along with a new power cord and added fuse. See photo of the many components that were replaced in this amplifier! The automatic 4 speed Garrard record changer is also fantastic, with it’s awesome 50′s accents, control knobs, and beautiful original beige paint! The record changer, control panel and knobs are in such fine condition, it looks as though this console was hardly ever used! The tonearm has the famous GE VR2 cartridge, one of the best cartridges ever made. I installed a brand new stylus, so you can play both stereo or mono LP’s on this… It’s a dual stylus, so you can flip it over, and play 78 records too! This is an automatic changer, and also a manual changer, so you can stack records, and each one will play in turn, and the changer will shut off after the last record has played, or leave it in manual to control shutting it off yourself. Comes with a convenient Garrard 45 adapter, which allows you to stack and play multiple 45 records automatically! Sorry about the sideways video, I’m trying to figure out how to straighten it! This has a nice large three way speaker system… A 12 woofer, a mid range and a tweeter… I replaced both crossover capacitors with Dayton caps for a tighter response. Want to play records at night? This has a cool pilot light that gives a beautiful warm glow in the record changer area, and doubles as a front pilot light via the small red lens in the speaker grill cloth… A nice bonus feature are the external speaker outputs, and additional inputs you can choose from in the back of the console; Designated for Phono, an additional Tuner, or Tape! You can run a CD player, ipod or smartphone through the tape input, and listen to your music in full glorious High Fidelity! 1960′s PILOT 610 INTEGRATED TUBE AMP/ RECEIVER. You are looking at a rare Pilot 610 Integrated Amplifier with phono input and FM Multiplex tuner. The Pilot 610 uses 6GW8/ECL86 tubes to produce a fantastic sound some might say is even better than that of the 500 or 232 series EL84/6BQ5 Pilot amps. Amp works great, it is in its original unrestored condition. The only issue is that when switching between channel A/B switch the amp does not react and sound still comes through both channels, stereo setting works great. Cosmetically the amp is in good shape but has some glue stains on the front faceplate. Please view images for cosmetic condition. Amp measures 16″ inches x 11″x 6.5 and weighs 17.5 pounds. Replaced all electrolytic capacitors (main power supply and bias supply). Replaced all coupling/bypass caps with Cornell Dublier film caps. Replaced output tubes with used old stock westinghouse 7591′s (tested 90%). Set bias and offset as per pilot settings. Tested all other tubes. Cleaned all tube sockets amd deox’d all controls and switches. Light marks on faceplate are from reflections and are not scratches. Amp works and sounds good. This model was the top of the line, most expensive. All point to point hand wired. I shot 2 videos: 1 prior to me removing from the cabinet…. And the 2nd after being removed from cabinet. In the 1st video, it states it comes with original tubes. I HAVE CHANGED OUT THE EL842 AND 12AX7S AND THATBIS THE STATE IT IS IN DURING the 2nd video. Also the 2nd video states I could not locate the original knobs. I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL KNOBS as shown in the pics I took the next day. One knob is missing the inner sleeve that keeps the knob on snug. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a moment and watch the videos… They describe and show the condition best. Should be worth at least that now! Just to clarify: Unit works and comes complete with all tubes but not original tubes. Comes with all original knobs and faceplate and all literature as seen in photos.
