Eico HF-87 stereo amplifier that will require 4x EL34, 2x 6SN7GT and one 12AX7 tubes. No tubes or cage are included. This unit is stamped by Eico on the underside of the chassis so it leads one to believe this unit was factory built. I see capacitors and resistors were replaced sometime in the past and a surge protector was added. I used my spare tubes to test and it sounds great, no hum. This weighs 31 lbs.
This Scott 99-C is in fair cosmetic condition. The front panel has some slightly bent corners and is a little dirty, but should clean up nicely. The knobs appear to be original but are certainly worn. One of the transformer casings has paint flaked off and some surface rust in that area. The 6L6GC tubes are from Eastern Europe or China (not sure which), but the the rest are vintage American tubes. Someone has installed some newer capacitors under the chassis, but I don’t know who did that work or when it was done. The amp seems to be playing well and sounds good! Please keep in mind that the tubes have not been individually tested and we cannot guarantee their condition. The bottom line is this… You’ll receive your item on time and in perfect condition regardless of how big, heavy, or delicate your item may be! This Fisher X-100 (serial number 38217K) is in excellent cosmetic condition. The front panel looks terrific with little cosmetic wear and sparkles. We did replace the two can capacitors on top and a few on the bottom. In addition, we cleaned the controls with electrical contact cleaner. The tubes are all original and branded for Fisher! It’s playing great and has been tested with the auxiliary and phono inputs. No issues were found! Please keep in mind that the tubes are untested and I cannot guarantee their condition. This Marantz 8B is in good cosmetic condition for it’s age. Yes, there are scuffs and scratches, but overall it’s been well cared for and includes the original cage (which is usually missing). The better news is that it’s been recapped! There are still a handful of original capacitors that you may want to change, but a majority have been replaced. The power cable has been replaced as well. The EL34 tubes are Soviet tubes which have been branded for National. Overall, this is a nicely restored 8B that’s ready to go! This unit has undergone an extensive electronic restoration here at Novalux Stereophonic. The unit has also received a fresh set of tubes. There is a McIntosh clinic sticker on the front of the unit which has been left in place for historical context.
This vintage Fisher x-101-D control amplifier has been recently recapped and serviced, ensuring its optimal performance. The amplifier boasts a classic tube design and is perfect for audiophiles who appreciate the timeless sound of vintage audio equipment. The Fisher brand is well-known for its high-quality audio products, and this amplifier is no exception. The x-101-D model features a sleek and minimalist design, making it a great addition to any home audio setup. Its various inputs allow for versatility in connecting to different audio sources. This amplifier is a must-have for anyone who wants to enjoy the warm, rich sound of vintage audio equipment. I have always used a power strip to turn it on and off to eliminate wear and tear on the power switch. It is totally optional though. Remember, this unit is quite old, not new so obviously it does show signs of use. Thank you for looking.
