Vintage Tube Amp

I bought this piece all dusty and without been used for years from a garage sale a few years ago, it had one broken tube. I’m adding pictures of the old capacitors, the old tubes (two are MULLARD Fat Brown base EL34 Xf1 still good and the other two are old xf2 black base EL34 tubes), the receipt for the service and a Manual I print out.

The cathode bypass electrolytics were replaced in the preamp section as well as one of the power amp sections. The cathode bypass resistors were replaced with 200 ohm 10 watt parts to increase the cathode bias to 95% and it sound much better like that.

GIBSON GA20 RARE VINTAGE TUBE GUITAR AMPLIFIER. CAME FROM ORIGINAL OWNER. COUPLE TUBES AS WELL AS MULTI CAN, CAPS AND RESISTORS WERE REPLACED ALONG WITH A NEW HANDLE ON TOP. ALSO REPLACED SEVERAL CONTROLS WITH NEW POTS INCLUDING THE VOLUME POT. POWER TRANSFORMER, POWER SWITCH AND POWER LIGHT ARE ALL ORIGINAL. REMOUNTED THE OUTPUT TRANSFOMER ON THE ORIGINAL JENSEN 12 ALNICO 5 WOOFER. COOL LOOK AND EASY TO USE. OUTER CASE COVERING HAS WEAR ESPECIALLY NEAR CORNERS. TOUGH TO COMPARE THIS WITH SOME OF THE NEWER GEAR OUT THERE BUT FOR A COLLECTOR LOOKING FOR THE OLD 50s GIBSON SOUND THIS IS PRETTY NICE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO COPY PAST THIS LINK TO SEE VIDEO. Eico HF87 Tube Amplifier newly serviced & restored! If you’re checking this out, chances are you already know about this amp- sounds incredible, extremely rare, and hard to find in good condition. Kills me to have to sell this, but here we are. Hope it goes to a good home! This unit is working and in great condition. It has just been professionally serviced and restored- as in a month and a half ago! All new and matching J&J EL34 tubes (see full list of new and replaced parts on the invoice). The only minor cosmetic damage is the obnoxious circle cut out in the exterior cage (see photo). VINTAGE MOSCODE 300 STEREO TUBE POWER AMPLIFIER. Working – Fully Tested. Good Condition – Chassis Has a Few Scratches – See Pictures. Carefully inspect all connections and components under magnification. Reflow any solder joints as needed. Treat all plug and socket connections with contact preservative. Remove tubes, treat tube socket connections with DeOxit D-100 drops. Treat circuit adjust potentiometers with DeOxit. Tighten power supply capacitor top connections. Retorque Mosfet Output devices to heat sinks. Remove speaker protection relay, clean plug-in / socket connections, treat relay points. Full bench test, power, response, noise, THD, followed by a lengthy use & listening test. This is the one everyone wanted. Tube input, Mosfet output. The best of both worlds. Here is one that couldn’t be working better. Which transformed a standard 300 into a stellar, light years ahead performer. I say this because the stock 300 used a 6FQ7 / 6DJ8 input configuration. The “modded” moscode 300 incorporated 4 matched RAM branded 6FQ7′s, which are present in this unit. All in all a great sounding unit which will satisfy the most discerning audiophile, and may well be the last amplifier you will ever own. This amp is serviced by professional technician. It has new pair filter caps and adjust voltage to spec at 440V bias at -37. The amp panel has some missing paint, one round panel nut broke off and one panel latch screw missing replace with different screw. All tubes tested and strong. The pre tubes 6CA7 and rectify tubes are made in USA, the power tubes and new modern tubes they are same but not matching brand. The power transformer is 6289A, the output transformer is 16432.
