Vintage Tube Amp

Pilot model SA-300 EL34 push pull amplifier. This was restored with new electrolytic caps, orange drop caps, resistors, diodes, new line cord, new EL34 sockets. Please check all pictures for condition and underside on the chassis. Tubes tested my calibrated Dan Nelsen TV-7/U, see picture for reading. This is a heavy unit.

This Marantz 8B is in good cosmetic condition for it’s age. Yes, there are scuffs and scratches, but overall it’s been well cared for and includes the original cage (which is usually missing). The better news is that it’s been recapped! There are still a handful of original capacitors that you may want to change, but a majority have been replaced. The power cable has been replaced as well. The EL34 tubes are Soviet tubes which have been branded for National. Overall, this is a nicely restored 8B that’s ready to go! The bottom line is this… You’ll receive your item on time and in perfect condition regardless of how big, heavy, or delicate your item may be! Has some typical corrosion on some metal parts, which adds to the allure! This Champ is an exceptionally great sounding one. Based on the transformer codes, it is from 1972. Fender logo with tail. It has some really good tubes in it. I’m trying to sell some nice vintage gear I don’t use much anymore…

This was custom modified to send 10 watts per channel, great vintage warm and balanced sound. I can send video demonstrating sound quality. The previous owner did the modifications and they were a professional. Can answer any questions to the best of my ability. This is a unique vintage amplifier. Will include aux cord and speaker wire. Used to play music and guitar at the same time!!! Has the case cover.

Both units still look very good. One of the black transformer boxes has a small dent in the back. Both sound fantastic, no hums or buzz. Authenticaps can caps were replaced new.
