1969 Fender Bandmaster Reverb – Vintage Silverface Tube Head with Upgraded Transformers. Looks to have had been re-tolexed. For sale is a powerful and great-sounding Fender Bandmaster Reverb amplifier head from the 1970s Silverface era. This model features the classic Fender clean tone, lush spring reverb, and responsive tremolo. It’s been thoughtfully upgraded with newer output and power transformers for improved performance and reliability. Model: Fender Bandmaster Reverb. Output: 40 watts, tube-powered. Tubes: 2x 6L6 (power), 12AX7/7025 (preamp), 1x GZ34 or solid-state rectifier (depending on year). Effects: Built-in spring reverb and tremolo (vibrato), both fully functional. [Add notes if it's been recapped, biased, or serviced recently]. ? Tone: Classic Fender cleans with headroom to spare – lush, shimmery reverb and choppy or subtle tremolo. Great platform for pedals, or go straight in for surf, blues, country, or clean rock. Message with any questions or to request more photos/audio samples.
Truth is I do not know what I have here, never seen anything like it. Looking for some help… There are two 6L6gc tubes and a 5u4…. The roll bars and big bracketed down transformers makes me think military… But I don’t know….
Perfect for your custom built amateur radio or tube amplifier. Are know as top of the line Transformers. This has got to be one of the nicest power transformers I’ve ever ce across. These older units by them have become hard to find. Especially this many watts. It’s possible this Transformers has never been used judging from the way the original power cord is rolled. It has some light rust on the bottom from just from sitting around. Adjustable Output from 205 to 240.
