Vintage Sears Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve 60w Tube Guitar Amp fully serviced

The 1484, along with its mighty 6-speakered sister , the 1485, have become the in-demand Silvertone amps of the current era. Onstage and in the studio with Jack White, Beck, and others recently, the awesome and unique tube sound of the 1484 and 1485 proudly powers the punch of some of today’s best rock. The Dano-built 1484 was a twin-twelve 60-watt amp boasting clear, mighty sound! The catalog listing advertised this amp for guitar or bass usage, and had all the amenities you could want in a medium sized (and priced) package: reverb, tremolo, two channels bridgeable for even MORE crunch! Silvertone 1484 in excellent condition, recently serviced by Andy at Revamp in LA. Electrolytics and filter caps replaced -3 prong power cord and safety ground added; AC polarity switch disconnected -pots cleaned -new Weber WOT1484 replacement output transformer installed the stock transformer in these amps is woefully inadequate and they often blow. Weber makes a custom replacement which captures all the sound of the original but is much more sturdy. Reverb works and sounds awesome -tremolo works and sounds awesome.. In fact everything works and the amp sounds great, especially when it’s cranked up… The item “Vintage Sears Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve 60w Tube Guitar Amp fully serviced” is in sale since Monday, July 9, 2018. 1965 Fender Tremolux Blackface Vintage Piggyback Tube Amp 2x10 AB763, FEIC

Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Tremolux in excellent condition and in good working order. This vintage Blackface Tremolux is from production run #2 as noted on the tube chart and has a “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate indicative of the very first “Pre-CBS” Blackface amps. The circuit has been serviced and the amp boasts a pair of vintage 6L6GC power tubes. The tone is stunning and quintessential Blackface Fender, with the perfect amount of clean headroom before the amp gives in to slightly compressed tube overdrive around 5 on the volume dial. The vibrato has a strong pulse to it as well and each channel has a similar voicing, although the Normal channel has just a touch more low end and midrange punch. The circuit retains all of the original Schumacher (Fender’s transformer supplier in the Blackface era) output transformer and choke which date to mid’65. The power transformer is a vintage Schumacher replacement which has a Fender part number and dates to 1967. The preamp features a combination of original blue molded Ajax capacitors and modern, high quality Sprague Orange Drops. The power amp has been professionally recapped as well. The power tubes are a matched pair of vintage 6L6s, and the preamp tubes are a mixture of newer and vintage valves. The stock CTS pots and chassis stamp date to 1965. The tube chart is intact with only light wear and a clean “OI” date stamp, which translates to September of 1965. The speaker cab boasts a pair of vintage correct Oxford 10L6 ceramic speakers. These speakers have black frames, original blue Fender foil labels, and original cones. Cosmetically, the amp retains the original silver sparkle grillcloth and smooth black tolex. The head is particularly clean with a minty faceplate and stock knobs. The nickel hardware shows moderate patina, with the original pat. Pending tilt back legs, piggyback clip bars and chrome thumb screws. The grillcloth on both the head and cab are uniformly aged as well. This is a vintage Alamo Embassy tube guitar amp and it looks to be from the 60s. The tubes light up with the exception on the smallest one on the right side, and you can hear the normal type static out of the speaker when you turn the volume control up and the volume control probably just needs some cleaning or just some use to clear the static up. The cabinet cloth material is nice and clean and tight and it does have a small spot of wear on the bottom left front corner and a spot of wear on the underneath bottom area. The front control area is clean as well and has some specks in the finish, and the bottom speaker grill has no tears or stains and is also clean. I show a number of photos. Measures 20″ by 8 1/2″ and stands 16 high. The item “Vintage 60s Alamo Embassy Guitar Tube Amplifier Amp” is in sale since Monday, August 13, 2018. Up for sale, a 1962 Danelectro Centurion Model 274 vintage 1×12 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A point-to-point wired USA-made tube amp, this Dano has been fully serviced and recapped as necessary, balancing originality and functionality. Driven by a complete vintage tube compliment including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, this amp has incredible headroom for its size, with rich, powerful cleans that stay defined and sparkling as you crank up the volume. When you dime out the amp you do get a touch of growl and overdrive with single coils, and naturally a P-90 or humbucker will yield a bit more grit. The vibrato works on both channels, with a waveform that has a prominent chop and good range of speeds. The circuit features new F&T filter caps and a combination of smaller Sprague and Mojo Dijon capacitors in the preamp. The original transformers are intact and the CTS pots are all present as well, dating to the 10th week of 1962. The speaker is the original alnico magnet 12 driver manufactured by Utah and dating to the 15th week of’62. In large part what gives this amp its great headroom, this speaker has a magnet that can handle far higher wattages than the roughly 15 watts pushed by the 6V6 pair. Cosmetically, this is a well cared for amp with original rough gray covering and wheat grill. The “Dan” portion of the raised Danelectro logo is still present on the face of the amp, and the polished aluminum chassis is quite clean with all of the original silkscreen lettering. There’s a touch of surface patina on the handle caps and chassis screw washers, but that’s about it. This Danelectro is fully serviced, very original, and aesthetically clean. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1962 Fender Super Vintage Pre-CBS Brownface Tube Amp 2x10 Oxford 10K5, 6G4-A

Up for sale, a 1962 Fender Super in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This Brownface Pre-CBS tube amp was produced early in’62 with original transformers, a very original and freshly serviced circuit, a full compliment of new tubes, and a pair of Oxford 10K5 speakers with original cones and molded brown Fender-branded bell covers. A direct descendant of the Tweed era Super amp, this early Brownface example delivers hi-fi clarity and sparkling, robust clean tones. Turning the amp up past 5 on the volume dial yields thick, chewy overdrive with great touch-sensitive responsiveness and EQ controls that have an incredibly wide sweep. And of course this is the most compact Brownface-era amp to feature the “Harmonic Vibrato” circuit. A true pitch shifting vibrato (not the tremolo found on most Fender amps), the Harmonic Vibrato sound has a thick, Leslie-esque throb and warble, with a three-dimensional quality and depth that is perfectly suited to the speaker compliment and cabinet size. Whether you want a slow, undulating swampy sound or faster, pulsating vibrato, this Super delivers the goods. The circuit has just been thoroughly tested by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and virtually all of the original blue Ajax and yellow Astron capacitors in the preamp are intact. The original CTS pots are all present too, dating to mid-1961. All of the original transformers are present, made by Fender’s primary supplier Schumacher, with date codes from the 42nd to 46th weeks of 1961. The tube chart rounds out the applicable date codes, with an “LC” stamp that translates to March of 1962. The power amp has been recapped with new F&Ts to guarantee reliable, trouble-free use for years to come. The tubes consist of a matched pair of Sovtek 5881s (6L6GCs) along with a host of new preamp tubes from Groove Tubes and JJ. The speakers are a pair of vintage, era-correct Oxford 10K5s with clean frames, original cones, stock brown plastic molded bell covers, and date codes from’63. The rough brown tolex is intact on both the cabinet and both original back panels. The tolex shows some wear on the bottom front edge of the enclosure, along with some requisite light scuffs, but is overall in great shape. The grillcloth is a genuine piece of early’60s wheat cloth professionally installed on the original baffle. All hardware is stock and accounted for including the brown plastic “dogbone” handle, corners, sphinx glides (feet), and flat “Fender” logo on the amp’s face. This Super is extremely original, freshly tested and serviced, and ready for stage and studio use. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. MAKE ME AN OFFER! For sale is a vintage Harmony Amp. I tried it out with a fender stratocaster It powers on sounds good, despite a hum, which remains at the same volume no matter how loud your input is. There is also little static here and there. I had also replaced a tube that wasn’t lighting up in hope that it would eliminate the hum, but it didn’t seem to do much. Measures 15 1/2″ by 15 3/4″ by 8. If you have any questions please ask! I wish not to sell to users with zero feedback, I have been recently scammed and want to avoid trouble.
