Up for sale, a 1950 Silvertone 1342 vintage tube guitar amp in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This rare all-tube gem is from the first year of a short production run, complete with the original Rola 12 speaker. The original Silvertone catalog description heralds the 1342 as “low, wide and handsome, ” and the two-tone green and beige faux leather covering is indeed the amp’s standout cosmetic feature, accented by the original pressboard back panel and a clean silkscreened faceplate with chicken head knobs. The amp sounds great with a drive box in front of it to goose the 6V6s into a bit more compression and sparkle, and the open-back cabinet design lends the amp a smooth, airy quality. The circuit is very original, with stock transformers including a particularly overbuilt and massive power transformer. The connection between the speaker and chassis has been upgraded with more heavy-duty speaker wire, and a three-prong power cable has also been installed. The original Rola speaker dates to’50 and the speaker cone appears original, still working well without any flab. The two-tone deep green and beige covering (noted as imitation leather in the original catalog) shows some light wear on the edges of the trapezoidal speaker cab, but as the photos can attest, this Silvertone is an uncommonly well-kept example with a particularly clean faceplate and even the stock leather handle. Here is a Fender Vibro Champ guitar amplifier. This is a silverface era amp, from the 1970′s. Overall in great shape. Everything is in working order. Original face-plate was replaced with a blackface style reproduction. Furthermore, the amp was placed in a pine wood aftermarket head cabinet, about 10 years ago. Some of the tolex is lifting, and coming detached from cabinet. Also, two of the control knobs are later reproductions. Original 2 prong ac power plug was switched to a 3 prong grounded style. Also, amp comes with rca-to-quarter inch input jack cabinet cable. The original face-plate is not included in this listing. Furthermore, no foot-switch is included. It is a 1954 Fender Champ amp, model 5C1. These are really special amplifiers, and extremely rare to find in Europe. This is completely original, including the original cable, as pictured. For your consideration a vintage early’60′s model Scott tube amp. 12 3/4 front to back. Condition: in working condition ONLY insofar as all the tube showing illumination. The power light as well. Pics 9 and 10 show tube illumination. The wood show some moisture stains toward the back. Found with the grill not inserted, therefore top of chassis is dirty/dusty. This is the Sound you’ve been looking for! Very Good Vintage Condition & Sounds Great. 1958 Premier 76 USA Guitar/Harmonic/Mic Suitcase Amp. Needs Handle, But Works Perfectly. Here’s The Run Down. This is a Very Cool Premier 76 All Tube Suitcase Amp. That would surprise you for sure, if you’ve never played through one. It’s in good shape overall for a 60 year old amp and is mostly original from what I can see. The original Jensen Speaker sounds great, has very good clean tones and breaks up beautifully when cranked up on all inputs. It seems all inputs put out a very similar volume. This amp has been used by me and operates/sounds exactly as it should. It appears to have an input for a tremolo foot switch, but I have never had one and will not be included. The tremolo works perfectly (foot switch not needed to operate). It has a makeshift handle that works, but a nicer one should be in order. I can see a few changed screws here and there, a 3 prong power cord, but otherwise nothing else obviously changed. There will be marks scuffs, wear and tear as well as other flaws since it is vintage, but no abuse, just use & age. It is in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (see pics). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics).
