Frank Sinatra Owned PA! Vintage Altec Tube Microphone, Mixer, Preamp, and Power Amps. Rare and sought after Altec Lansing 1592B Mixer Amplifier with 5 1588c transistor microphone inputs just enough for each member of the rat pack! Mixer is cosmetically in great used condition and was recapped with audiophile grade capacitors, fully tested, and works perfectly very quiet! Two Altec Lansing 1594B mono power amplifiers with peerless transformers. Amps are in perfect working condition and cosmetically great used condition. Both mixer and amps come inside a custom built solid steel rack and road case on caster wheels. The road case has “Frank Sinatra hold and notify” written on the side, along with a sticker from “Beverly Hills Transfer Storage”. There is a plaque above the mixer with Frank’s NYC home address that reads SINATRA SHOW, 15 CENTRAL PARK W. Also included is an Altec 165a Tube Condenser, a high quality tube condenser mic that Frank can be seen using live. The mic was tested with a power supply and works and sounds like new. The “take up reel” used for the mic cable has a vintage label that says “Sinatra 9/73″, which was the year of his big comeback tour. Enclosure designed to produce guitar distortion tones Its a tube preamp but you can also connect it directly to a speaker cabinet. The Cream Machine is basically a low wattage high-gain Marshall valve amplifier in miniture and is used to produce that classic over-driven British rock guitar tone. Just crank the controls around to the level of distortion required, from a very smooth cream mode to when cranked. A full sounding mini Marshall. So Collins made some of the best sounding tube equipment from the late 1940s through the early 60s and this Collins 12Z is evidence of that. The build quality of this surpasses most other American makers of the time and rivals the German equipment made by Telefunken, EAB, and others of the same period. The 12Z is so overbuilt right down to the machined aluminum knobs. It is packed with transformers made by Thordarson, and attenuators by Daven. Power amplifier has four Dynaco 6CA7 EL34 (three of them are marked Great Britain), one Dynaco 7199-USA, one Electron 7199-USA and another tube that does not have any markings on it. EL34 tubes have some black spots and’2′ written on their tops and some lettering/numbers are erased/washed up on some tubes. This set also includes four RCA type cables and panel mounts for tuner and PAS-2 units (I do not know if PAS-2 panel mount is compatible with PAS unit).
