Vintage Tube Amp

The Sears Roebuck and Co. Tube Amplifier Model 1473 is a vintage audio amplifier that is highly sought after by collectors and audio enthusiasts. I originally acquired this amp to rebuild the enclosure, but currently do not have the time and need the space in my shop. The amp itself was “working” and there is a 1/4 jack I added to test with my bench cabinet. Will definitely need some new caps and pots.

This amp circuit was originally built by At Mars, then I tweaked it a bit more and put it in the vintage ammo can. I have played this next to amps/circuits by all of the above builders and it totally hangs but with a unique voice. Comes with vintage/tested tubes.

Soviet 1971 Lomo theatre speaker box with 3 reels cables and reel manual winder. The speakers are 4a-28 and look undamaged. It has a manual reel winder and mains and speaker cables included. The leather handle is cut. Good for parts or restoration.

Still cleaning up the amp and checking for functionality – owner said that the amp does power on but didn’t get into details about output quality. Great set – will upload measurements in a bit. The 6bq5s appear to be made In Japan with the exception of one made in Germany. I have no idea what the tag means by run number one. I highly doubt this is from the first crop off the production line but I suppose it could be?

For sale one PAIR of Marantz Model 9 mono block amplifiers (original version) in very good condition as pictured. Serial numbers 2007 and 2040. Serviced (by previous owner) at Absolute Sound labs (Savage, Minnesota) about 12 years ago. They are fantastic sounding and it has been a pleasure listening to them but tis time to find them a new home. Included are 8 Sylvania EL34 6CA7 “OO” Getter Welded Plates Fat Bottle output tubes that Test Strong. Each amp weighs 67lb and are packaged securely and separately. Repair/ Service/copy’s of owners manuals Advertisements, reviews etc included as pictured. Included are the CAGES and FRONT MARANTZ plates and Rubber/Plastic feet in very good condition as pictured. Perfectly restored and optimized McIntosh MC240. NOS RCA 6L6 tubes. Performance & tech verified and restored for top sound. Power capacitors and only necessary’leaky’ capacitors changed by a certified tech. Paper in oil capacitors used when appropriate by Aerovox and Duelund! Input RCA’s changed to CMC high copper input jacks, Twin Amp (dual mono volume controls) only for top performance and sound. Recently checked for balance, performance and all voltages see tech picture of vanishing distortion! This got all the treatment like a classic car, and far more time and tech and NOS tubes used when appropriate to get this sounding top notch.
